Do your speakers require any special equipment?

No. They hookup to an amplifier just like any other speaker. Each rock has a waterproof cup with a resin plug where you attach your speaker wires.

The only requirement is an amplifier that puts out a minimum of 20 watts per channel, as this is the minimum needed to drive each speaker. We recommend an RMS output of 100 watts per channel to avoid amplifier "clipping" when using at higher volumes.
